Gruver State Bank is proud to call Gruver our home and is blessed to serve the citizens of this town and surrounding areas.
Gruver State Bank’s history dates back to 1946, when Ralph Bort and a group of farmers, ranchers, and merchants organized the bank with $75,000 in initial capital. Until 1949, the bank was first housed in the hotel lobby of what is now the El Vaquero Restaurant. The bank then moved into a building directly across the street from the hotel, located on Gruver’s historic Main Street. In 1972, the bank moved to its present location, 3 Main Plaza, just down the street from the original location.
In the mid 1980’s, the bank was purchased by Kenneth Irwin. K. Kyle Irwin, grandson of Kenneth, is the current President and CEO. Today, the bank remains 100% owned by the Irwin family.
Gruver State Bank prides itself on lending primarily to its agriculturally-rich customer base. However, we continue to evolve with the changing times and serve our customers with a wide variety of products. We look forward to enhancing and developing both established and new customer relationships. And, as always, we strive to be, “The most bank for your money!”
